With three National Park sites (Island Ford Park, Powers Island Park and East Palisade Park), nature is Sandy Springs’ front and back yard. Sandy Springs offers its residents some of the best in Southern living. From high-rise condominiums and riding stables to swim and tennis communities, there is a place everyone can call home.

Plus, with more than 20 miles of scenic shoreline along the Chattahoochee River, the city provides plenty of opportunities to fish, kayak, canoe or float lazily on a raft down the river, or spend time cycling. With more than 950 acres of park land, Sandy Springs residents and visitors of all ages enjoy the many activities found in any one of the city’s 16 parks.

The city’s public schools are run by the Fulton County School System. Sandy Springs residents also have easy access to more than 40 private schools in the metro area. When it is time to travel for work or pleasure, Sandy Springs offers extensive local road access to I-285 and GA 400, as well as access to three MARTA stations.

Annual program offerings include the annual Sandy Springs Festival, the Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market, concerts and more.

Tennis is a popular activity in the South, and the Sandy Springs Tennis Center helps nurture the love of the game. Named by Tennis Magazine as one of the finest public facilities in the country, it is home to more than 130 United States Tennis Association and Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association teams.

Whether the goal is to be with a crowd or spend time alone, Sandy Springs provides a variety of options. For example, big laughs can be found at the Punchline Comedy Club, or a spot for quiet reflection is often readily available at the John Ripley Forbes Big Trees Forest Preserve.
